Tishi Avvaru (she/they) is a rising senior at the University of California, Los Angeles. A Statistics and Data Science student who is also pursuing a double minor in History and Ancient Near Eastern Studies, Tishi is passionate about the intersection between data and the humanities. She has been the Producer and Technical Director for Lapu, the Coyote that Cares Theatre Company at UCLA, and hopes to bring the same passion for original storytelling and supporting artists to LAPP. Tishi was drawn to LAPP due to the organization’s complete commitment to supporting a diverse community of artists and the opportunity to use data to ensure support for contemporary performance. Tishi is looking forward to learning everything that LAPP has to offer, and excited to contribute their technical skills to a community-based endeavor.
