We are thrilled to be part of the L.A. County Arts & Culture Internship program this year! Through L.A. County Arts & Culture, we are able to offer a paid internship to a currently enrolled undergraduate college student or recent graduate.
Our Producing Intern will begin work in September, and will work a total of 400 hours with us. Work will include a combination of remote work and in-office work (pending COVID-19 safety orders).
This internship is sponsored by the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors through the Los Angeles County Department of Arts and Culture. More than 225 undergraduate interns will participate in the program this year at over 140 performing, presenting, film, media, literary, social justice, and social service nonprofits organizations throughout Los Angeles County. In addition to their paid internship, interns participate in several educational events which are funded by the Getty Foundation. For additional information on the Los Angeles County Department of Arts and Culture, the Arts Internship Program, and for a complete list of all the internships offered this summer, visit www.lacountyarts.org.
Los Angeles Performance Practice Producing Intern
DESCRIPTION
The Producing Intern will work closely with our team to plan for and produce a series of events and programs tied to the development of new work. Events are likely to be primarily online, but may shift to small in-person gatherings should it become safe during the course of the internship. As producers wear many hats, the Producing Intern will contribute toward many facets of our day-to-day and event-related activities, including development, marketing, artist coordination, and event planning and logistics. With our creative realities shifting from day to day, the Producing Intern will play a major role in imagining new possibilities for this uncertain time. This internship will be working remotely part of the time and will work about 20 hours a week.
