PERFORMANCE IS VITAL – ENSURE THE FUTURE OF LAPP

Los Angeles Performance Practice fills the gaps in creative infrastructure by fostering an artist-led ecosystem grounded in experimentation, collaboration, and care. For over fifteen  years, LAPP has nurtured a network of artists whose work advances contemporary performance—building bridges between disciplines, communities, and institutions.

And now, we need you.

As public funding for the arts faces historic challenges–including the decimation of public arts programs and the rollback of DEI initiatives–our work ensures that Los Angeles remains a place where artists lead, and where performance continues to shape the civic and imaginative life of the city. Your investment strengthens a vital creative network that keeps performance alive, equitable, and responsive to the issues of our time.

Your Gift Is Vital

LAPP is more than an arts organization—it is a breathing community of artists, collaborators, and supporters working together to build a more equitable and imaginative future. When you give to Los Angeles Performance Practice, you are investing in artists who challenge convention, expand the possibilities of performance, and give voice to the stories that define our time.

Your tax-deductible gift directly fuels programs that sustain artists and audiences at every stage of creation: BRIDGE THE GAPS: Wildfire Relief for L.A. Artists, ACCELERATOR, the LAX Festival, RESEARCH + DEVELOPMENT residencies, and so much more. Each of these projects  embodies LAPP’s belief that artistic innovation and social infrastructure are interdependent—that directly supporting artists means investing in the future of Los Angeles.

Why Now?

L.A. is at a turning point. Artists are facing escalating housing costs, climate disasters, and widening inequities in access to resources. Yet this moment also offers an unprecedented opportunity to reshape the cultural field toward sustainability, inclusion, and care.
