MENTORSHIP
Through the Los Angeles County Arts & Culture Arts Internship Program (AIP), Los Angeles Performance Practice is thrilled to offer two paid internships annually to current undergraduate or recent graduates in Los Angeles County. Interns work closely with LAPP staff on projects such as the LAX Festival, our Annual Report, and the CAC Catalog, and learn about development, programming, and field initiatives. They deepen their understanding of the possibilities within performance as an art form and viable career field. We often carve out positions for interns once they have completed academic requirements. Past interns have found gainful employment–one as a data scientist, another in mergers and acquisitions.
More than 225 undergraduate interns participate in AIP at over 140 performing, presenting, film, media, literary, social justice, and social service nonprofits organizations throughout Los Angeles County. In addition to the paid internship, interns participate in educational events funded by the Getty Foundation. For additional information on the Los Angeles County Department of Arts and Culture, the Arts Internship Program, and for a complete list of all the internships offered this summer, visit www.lacountyarts.org.
