Grantwriting for Performance @ Pieter!

Grantwriting for Performance @ Pieter!

Los Angeles Events

We are thrilled to bring back our Spring grantwriting workshop! This time, in partnership with Pieter.

Three Sundays in February, designed to leave you with a fully prepared proposal for your next grant application! Cost for full series: $75

In our Spring Grantwriting workshop, we’ll cover:

February 17, 1p-3p // Writing About Your Work- the project narrative & artist bio

February 24, 1p-3p // Creating Your Budget – income and expense categories, and how to create a budget for national funding

March 3, 1p-3p // Support Materials- the importance of a good work sample & how to make one

Attending all three sessions is required, with a little homework in between. Through the process, we’ll be on hand to provide feedback to those assembling grant proposals for upcoming funding opportunities, including the National Dance Project and National Theater Project deadlines (March 1 & 11). Participants are encouraged to come prepared with an active project idea, along with a prospective source of support.

An Evolving Los Angeles Performance Practice – A Letter from Founder Miranda Wright

Aug 2, 2023

Dear friends, thirteen years ago, I encountered numerous artists in our community who needed help. They were creating new, exciting performances while being burdened with all the risks. My desire to build an infrastructure for them ultimately led to the founding of Los Angeles Performance Practice.
