An outdoor workshop that invites us to cultivate creative self-expression and intuitive movement while witnessing our surroundings. Led by Lindsey Lollie this workshop is inspired by her time in the mountains, singing and dancing for the ancestors. “In my practice I am learning to connect more deeply with nature, listen for messages, and expand my sense of creativity.”
Participants will explore wind, visionary and movement aspects of hawks, distance, rhythm, and reintegration of dance with other bodies. Lollie will be sharing practices involving observation, song and movement, culminating in a shared dance offering. A moderate hike in one of the beautiful canyons in Altadena, Tongva land, will be led on the second day for further integration in nature.
All people of varying backgrounds/experience are welcome to participate in this two day workshop. Participants can wear comfortable clothes, bring a small blanket or towel for sitting and a journal for writing.
